Hand Crafted Log Railings

Browse through any log home magazine and count the number of photos that include exposed log hand rails or open log stairways. These features are often one of the focal points of a log OR framed home, and we take great pride in offering top quality hand crafted log railings.

Our standard hand crafted railing system includes a sturdy 4" top and bottom rail with 3" pickets. The unique tenon cutting process matches the draw knifed look of the rails, as opposed to the "machine cut" look of most tenons. Custom built in our Pagosa Springs workshop, we cut, tenon and assemble each section to exacting measurements to ensure easy onsite installation.

We take extra care in the selection of materials and fashion each section to provide a long lasting, quality railing system. Standard features include bottom rail weep holes that help prolong the integrity of exterior railing. We can also pre-treat exterior mortise and tenon joints with penetreat if desired.

Other options include skip peeled and Adirondack (locally only) larger or smaller rail and picket sizes and flattened top rails.

Rake rails, custom log stairways, and railing installation are available locally only unless prior arrangements have been made. (Rake rails and stairs are crafted on site for an exacting fit.)

We can provide railing parts only, for the do it yourself project.

Free estimates and contractor pricing available.

We now also have: copper post caps, railing wrap and post bases!
